  Mosquito Terminator

1. Do I need to buy a Mounting Bracket or does one come with the MT unit?
The MT3000 is a hanging unit. MT2000 is a stand alone unit and does not need a mounting bracket.

2. Where do I get a Co2 bottle and how long will one bottle last?
The Co2 bottle can be rented at your local welding supply store. Please click here to find other locations. Depending on what size of bottle you use and what time cycles you set your timer to will determine how many hours your bottle will last. (Approximately 30 hours per pound of Co2.)

3. What species of mosquitoes does the MT system destroy.?
The system will kill most known species of mosquito and any other blood sucking insect which hunts its prey by heat or Co2 detection.

4. At what area does the MT Unit cover?
Approximately 1/2 acre if used correctly.

5. What is the best place to place the MT unit?
Where mosquitoes congregate. Under porches and decks are a favorite place for mosquitoes to roost.

6. How does the MT attract and destroy Mosquitoes?
The system mimics the body heat of the mosquito's prey and expels Co just like humans and other species.  Once attracted they are sucked in and captured into an area surrounded by a fine mesh net and they can not get out to eat or drink, so the die.

7. Does the MT System attract and kill other biting insects such as gnats?
Unfortunately deer flies, horse flies, etc. do not hunt in the same way mosquitoes do. They hunt by sight of unnatural moving objects and shadows.

8. How does the MT differ from a regular bug zapper?
A regular Bug Zapper attracts it victims by light. Hungry female mosquitoes are not attracted by light. They are attracted by body heat (see 6 above). Regular bug zappers kill indiscriminately. Up to 70% of its victims are GOOD BUGS which hunt and kill mosquitoes.

9. Can I buy the MT system cheaper on the net or in major stores?
Not yet, www.mosquitoterminator.com is the only web site today.

10. Do you have a help line so I can talk to someone to better understand my mosquito problem?
Yes,  call 1-281-850-4604 and ask for Jose Trevino.

11. What happens to the dead mosquitoes? Do I need to clean them from the machine?
Just lift the net and let all them dead mosquitoes hit the trash bag. If you do not empty them into a trash bag or some type of container, the dead mosquitoes will attract ants and other things in the feeding chain.

12. Would it help if all my neighbors had a MT system installed on their property?
It certainly would help! Each
MT system will attract the mosquitoes entering approximately 1/2 acre site. If your neighbors had the same system over time the population of mosquitoes would be vastly reduced. Only mosquitoes flying into the area would be found and most species of mosquito do not travel more than a few hundred yards in their life time, but some travel many miles to get your blood. So promote this to your friends and neighbors.

13. Will it tip over in the wind? If so, does it cause a problem?
It certainly will not tip over under normal whether conditions. If you or someone physically tips it over and damage the MT unit our warranty does not cover this type of damage.

14. Are there pre-drilled holes for mounting on a post, tree limb or patio?

The MT2000 has no predrilled holes for mounting the unit on a post or a wall. This unit is designed to stand on flat, level, hard surface .

15. Is it powered by batteries?

The MT units will run from 6 to 8 days if connected to a fully charged average size car battery.

16. Is it powered by AC voltage?

The MT units are powered by a power supply/timer and the Power supply is powered by 110 AC which is then converted 12volts. The MT units must have 12volts at 36 watts.

(Important: The system will fail if you apply higher voltage than 12 volts.)
