No more mosquitoes when you use mosquito control traps by Mosquito Terminator.

West Nile Virus

  Testimonials

Hi Mosquito Terminator,
Me and the mosquito terminator in my garden (I covered my very big gas tank, it lasts 2 months).

My personal war against mosquitoes began in 2002, when tiger mosquitoes came to the area where we live here in Rome (Italy).  Before the summer 2002, my life was already poisoned by other mosquitoes, but tiger mosquitoes made my life a real hell. My 3 years old daughter is allergic to mosquito bite, so you can imaging my and her suffering.  I decided to do and spend whatever I could to destroy mosquitoes.

I started looking on Internet for mosquito killer machines.  The light machines are almost useless, I have one but it kills everything except mosquitoes.
I decided to buy a gas machine. So I started with the mosquito terminator.  I was very happy with it. It was catching a lot of mosquitoes.
Still some tiger mosquitoes were always around bothering us.  To compare the mosquito terminator to other machines I decided to buy a mosquito magnet liberty and a mosquito magnet freedom.
But I made a mistake. These two mosquito magnet machines are good indeed, but catch much less mosquitoes than the mosquito terminator.
I also had several problems with the carburettor, sometimes it stops with no reason, so if I am away for a  few days,  I miss precious time to keep catching mosquitoes.  Not to mention that propane is a flammable gas and I worry when friends are in my garden smoking cigars.
I also believe that the machines have problems transforming propane into CO2.
I have waited one whole summer to come to a conclusion, but the result is clear.  Every morning the first thing I did was to go to the mosquito terminator to see how many mosquitoes was catching.  And every morning I was so happy to see 30-40-50 ugly mosquitoes in the net.  The other two mosquito magnet machines didn't have so many. At most 5-10 mosquitoes each (the freedom always less than the liberty)
Mosquito Terminator never had problems, even working 24 hours a day for 7 months.  Another annoying fact about the mosquito magnet is that I have to clean the valve every time I change the propane tank, otherwise it doesn't start.
So I am about to buy another mosquito terminator.

Thank you,

Francesca

What does Alan Kerbey have to say,

There are several machines on the market used for mosquito control in parks, residential areas, campgrounds, etc.  They all work on the general principal of attracting mosquitoes by mimicking a human or animal.  Mosquitoes are drawn to Co2 (your breath) heat, light and several additional chemicals given off by warm blooded animals.  Some of the machines use Co2, others propane.

Pricing range from $350.00 to $1200.00.  I have used various machines in various areas.  For more information e-mail me alan@scapest.com

The following statement is my personal opinion after having used and tested these machines. They will be the preferred method of residential mosquito control in the future, especially if the price tags come down a little, but they are a control, not elimination device. County and State mosquito control combined with these machines in residential areas should provide good protection. (So always vote yes to any bill involving funding for your county mosquito commissions)

"Any machine will not totally eliminate a mosquito population unless you live on an island.  They are designed to attract and kill thousands of female mosquitoes thus reducing the population and the amount of future eggs laid thus making your yard safe and reasonably mosquito free.  If you have a severe problem it will take awhile to reduce the population and you may desire to combine other methods of control at the outset for faster results. Also, some of the manufacturers literature is at times  disingenuous.  The machines may, depending on the wind and other factors, attract mosquitoes for up to an acre area, but control is a different matter. Also, the term "unobstructed area" may be misconstrued.  Plan on twenty thousand square feet of control if there is not a house in the way."

The Mosquito Terminator

The Terminator runs on C02,  and electricity. The machine mimics a human by emitting C02 and by maintaining a 98.6 degree temperature.  The mosquitoes are attracted to what amounts to the breath and body temperature of an animal, and blown into the netting.  It can be used with the 12 volt output power supply, a 12 volt car battery, or a 12 volt landscape lighting system.  The Co2 regulator is precision set to emit exactly the right amount of C02.  Thus a 20 pound tank will last substantially longer than any other machine on the market.  The actual amount used depends on the timer setting or if it is run 24/7.  There are no additional attractants like octenal or lactic acid, it is built for maximum mosquito attracting power without all the garbage.  It attracts and captures the same amount or more  mosquitoes as all the other machines I have tested.  It is immune to severe weather.

Mikey says "Thank you Mosquito Terminator---I can now run outdoors with impunity!!!  I no longer get hives

because of all those mean old mosquito bites!!"

We reside in Southwest Florida, the mosquito capital of the United States.  We have been inundated with mosquitoes, and have fought a never ending battle, and generally, a failing one, with the mosquito
population. We had to rely on our county mosquito control for any help in this endeavor.   As you know, the county has sentinel chickens placed strategically about the county, from which they receive pertinent
information regarding the numbers of mosquitoes currently present, and also if any of those causing encephalitis are about.  When any of the 2 above criteria are present, the county will send out land based pesticide spraying.  On occasions when the numbers and diseases are to a level where there is more of a possibility of disease, we will then receive an aerial spray.  We previously found that we were at risk even
before we receive help from the County.

We have a dog-- Mikey--a Shorthair German Pointer-- who has become allergic to the mosquito!  He runs outside the house, only to return quickly, with eyes, ears, and multiple areas on his body swollen from
the bites.  On a couple of occasions, he had to be treated for aspiratory complications!

Since we placed our Mosquito Terminator in operation, we find that when the county notifies us of a spraying to be accomplished, we are surprised that the mosquito population has risen to the numbers necessitating the
spray. We are having none of the problems which lead us to expect help.

The Mosquito Terminator has been full of dead mosquitoes.  Our mikey is now able to run at leisure outdoors without any evidence of one lesion on his body!!

Thanks, Jose, for a wonderful Mosquito Terminator which has been a Godsend in respect to our mosquito problem!

I tried both the Black Light and the Propane activated mosquito traps and they simply did not work for me.

The Mosquito Terminator WORKED!   I have been catching approximately 50 Asian Tiger mosquitoes a day not counting all the other mosquitoes. They fall into the bottom of the net and die. When I emptied it, there was almost a cup full of dead mosquitoes.

I highly recommend the Mosquito Terminator especially if you have the Asian Tiger mosquito.
